Probing the CGC and QCD matter at hadron colliders

In Celebration of Edmond Iancu's 60th Birthday

High energy hadronic collisions can probe parton densities in a regime where they get large and non-linear phenomena lead to saturation. The Color Glass Condensate is a QCD effective theory, characterized by a dynamical scale, which describes qualitatively and quantitatively a wide range of results. Its concepts and techniques share similarities with those used in the study of the modification of jets when they propagate in dense quark gluon plasma produced in heavy-ion collisions. The DIS of electrons off nuclei in the forthcoming ElC will offer a clean environment to explore parton dynamics at saturation. Likewise, the future sPHENIX program at RHIC and the analysis of current and upcoming data at the LHC will give possibilities to extract quark-gluon properties from hard probes such as jets. We wish to build on the acquired expertise and prepare for such challenges.

Topics: Color Glass Condensate, QCD resummations at small-x, Jet quenching
