The goal of this TALENT school is to provide the attendees with high level training on nuclear physics and nuclear astrophysics from various perspectives that include the Equation of State (EOS), neutron star mergers, and supernovae – and their combined impact in spearheading the brand new era of multi-messenger astronomy. Key lecturers will be Almudena Arcones, Bruno Giacomazzo, and Jorge Piekarewicz, as well as other experts in the various fields of relevance to the school.
We plan to host 20-30 students from around the world. Our target are primarily PhD students and young postdocs willing to improve their knowledge in this exciting and interdisciplinary field. The program will be based on theory lectures (blackboard and slides), which will be held in the mornings, and on hand-on sessions with computational projects in the afternoons.
