Description

In Statistical Mechanics and Quantum Field Theory, the knowledge of the density of states enables the calculation of quantities that are difficult to obtain otherwise, such as interface free energies and latent heats. The LLR method provides a way to obtain a controlled approximation to the density of states. After an introduction to the LLR method, we will demonstrate its application to the computation of observables of cosmological relevance in ${\mathrm SU}(3)$ and ${\mathrm Sp}(4)$ Lattice gauge Theories.
