Description

Abstract

Within a three-particle model (α + N + N), structure characteristics of 6He and 6Li halo nuclei are studied. Within a four-particle model (α + α + N + N), the structure functions of 10Be and 10С nuclei are analyzed and compared with those of 6He and 6Li. The structure of mirror 14C and 14O nuclei, as well as that of 14N nucleus is studied in the framework of the five-particle model (three 𝛼-particles and two nucleons). For this purpose, potentials of the np-, nn-, Nα-, and αα-interactions are proposed to give description of the elastic phase shifts at low energies simultaneously with correct values of the binding energy and the charge radius of the corresponding nucleus. To solve the few-body problem, a precise variational method with optimized Gaussian bases is used. The density distributions and r.m.s. radii are found, elastic form factors, pair correlation functions, and momentum distributions of particles are studied. For 14C and 14O nuclei, we also consider the lowest excited state, and we find the transition form factors for these nuclei in addition to other structure functions.
