DTP | Doctoral Training Programme 2022
HADRON PHYSICS WITH FUNCTIONAL METHODS
The 2022 ECT* Doctoral Training Programme edition focuses on hadron physics using functional methods, with an emphasis on Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter equation (DSEs and BSEs). The past two decades have seen considerable progress in the field, which spans a wide range from solving coupled equations for QCD’s correlation functions to hadronic applications in calculating meson and baryon spectra and matrix elements such as electroweak form factors and hadronic scattering amplitudes.
The aim of the DTP 2022 is to provide the participants with a pedagogical introduction to functional methods, a comprehensive overview of their current applications in hadron physics, and in particular, provide them with the computational techniques to solve DSEs and BSEs for state-of-the-art problems in QCD and related areas. By the end of the program, the participants are expected to have a thorough understanding of the current status quo in solving two- and three-body systems and should be equipped with the numerical tools to make their own contributions in tackling open problems.
